The Sharptor stud is made up of both standard and miniature Shetland ponies with the emphasis on breeding sound ponies that are true to type.The studs aim is to breed standard ponies that are up to height in chestnut and broken coloured. The stud also includes roans and piebalds.
The Stud is based at Lower Halstock farm near Okehampton, Devon on the edge of Dartmoor with ground running up to 2000 feet.
